NeoCem is a French low carbon cement company that holds a global patent related to the flash calcination of clay, which is a core material that can be used in the creation of low-carbon cement. Because traditional cement production accounts for about 7% of global CO2 emissions, it's a critical area to address in overall decarbonization efforts.
NeoCem's calcined clay product was developed during a consulting engagement related to the Grand Paris Express, a large infrastructure project that involves a near doubling of the Paris metro system with its 200km of new tunnels.
Following construction of the company's first factory 30km north of Paris, we are now helping them to expand internationally via joint ventures and to secure funding that includes a mix of equity, debt, and grant funding.
